V-Day & Mardi Gras

I've been feelin super crafty lately.

I attempted to make Valentine's Day bookmarks.
I'm not impressed with how they turned out,
but they got sent out anyway...
& sorry about the horrible pic, my camera hates me.

After the bookmarks were finished
I had a million little hearts and wanted to do something with them.
So, I arranged them in a frame from my previous project.

I even used special stickers to make them 3-dimensional.
I think that's the right word...

Perfect addition to my Valentine's decor.
Don't mind the ivy plant I seem to have killed.
& yes, I stuck the green pot in the pink pot.
I will make mom help me re-plant it if she deems it alive.

Now for my Mardi Gras decor.
Another printable found on Pinterest.
& some Mardi Gras beads that I had to buy.
Hopefully I will have a stash in a few weeks.

I couldn't figure out what to do with the Mardi Gras lights
that I found at a used store, but I like them there for now.

I still need to paint the shelves black,
another project for mom...

Feelin' Crafty

I've been working on a few projects.
All thanks to Pinterest, of course.

I hung my shelves up in the bedroom a few weekends ago
but had nothing to go on them.

I always see cute printables that I want on my walls.
The boyf bought me some ink and I got print happy.

But first I had to have frames.
I got these for $1 each at the Dollar Tree.
The dark ones are plastic and I wasn't sure how spray paint would work.

I even got the cheapest spray paint, it was under a dollar.
It took the hole can to do all 5 frames!

But Ta-Da!
I love it!

I feel like it's still missing something,
but my house is a work in progress.

I seen THIS the other day and knew I had to make it.
I keep all my fortures, just can't find them at the moment.
So, for now it looks bare.
But I think it will come together with time.
& luckily I already had the frame.

Now that it's all together, I realize I need to repaint the shelves.
Another weekend...

Great Finds!

I have some great products I would like to share with y'all!

I have the peppermint,
but there are other flavors.
It is so smooth and silky.
But not sticky.
& it's just a hint of peppermint.
It is pure love!

I asked for a heat protector for flat ironing
& this is what was recommended.
It was on sale for $32 and I only splurged
because I could bring it back in 7 days
if I didn't like it.
Didn't have to worry about that, it is amazing!
I was really unsure since it wasn't a spray
but I definitly recommend it to anyone
who straightens their hair often.
It makes my hair gorgeous
& is so easy to use!

I try not to over-process my hair.
Which usually leads to a ponytail every other day.
I have oily hair. Yes, even after one day.
I'd heard people talk about dry shampoo,
but was really uncertain of it.
I looked everywhere and this was the
only brand I could find.
Turns out, it works fantastically!
I haven't tried it on hair dirtier than a day yet,
but I assume it would still work.
I def do need to find some in brown though
because when I go overboard it is white...

I've used Scentsy for quite a while now.
I always stick to the usual coconut
or clean scents because I don't have a consultant.
I buy from my cousin in Illinois...
Luckily, Heather has a consultant
that visited us at work so I got to smell all kinds.
I fell in love with My Dear Watson.
I hadn't placed the wonderful smell
until she told me, It smells like the Abercrombie store.
She is correct, it smells just like their cologne, Fierce.
I cannot wait to get it melting in my house. Mmm!

Finally, a Productive Weekend!

I stayed home this weekend.
Instead of going to the camp w/the boyf.
I had a list of things I wanted to get accomplished.
& figuring I would do more procrastinating than anything,
I'm pretty proud of what I got done.

I washed my comforter in one of those huge washers at the washateria.
I was sick of looking at the one the landlord had in here.
I hung the shelves in my living room.
Even though I have no idea wtf to put on them.
But hey, at least the wall's not bare anymore!
& I edited some photos to black & white
for my huge multi pic frame.

Cleaned out the top of my closet.
& put a lot of stuff in storage.
You know, like summer dresses that were taking up valuable space.

I organized my nightstand & dresser.
They had both gotten wayyy out of control.
I even threw lots of stuff I didn't need away.
Proud of myself for that
considering I've adopted the habit of putting everything in storage.

I also organized all my personal files
that had become a horrible stack.
It's nice knowing where everything I need is!
My personal recipe book also got organized.
Gotta start some cooking!

I pulled out all of my Valentine stuff
from my Scrapbook supplies.
I intend to make homemade Valentine's this year.
I need to take up Scrapbooking again w/all the junk I have. Geeze.

I LOVE apothecary jars.
Most of them have been sitting empty
on the top of my mircrowave.
But now, they are Valentine's day decor!
Don't mind the ugly flower pot.
I need a black one but apparently no one sells them in Janaury.
Or the ugly bookshelf, it was free w/the house.
Also, I have no idea why an outlet is so high on the wall. Ughhh
