bummed out

I feel like absolute crap today.
Mentally.

I've been planning a weekend to help Marianne

for seems like ever!

& I feel like absolute dog shit that I can't go.

It's a miserable feeling.

I don't even know if my car will be fixed

but even if it is I don't think it's wise to take a 6 hour trip

after it's been giving me problems.

Life sucks sometimes.

I'll apologize now for the emo post

but I've had really bad last couple of days.

To top everything off

my car decided to go crazy on me yesterday.

I got home and it wouldn't turn off.

The key would not budge.

I was hysterical.

Like on the near verge of a mental breakdown.

Linds boyf tried to fix it,

unplugging the battery didn't even work.

Finally he found the fuse box

and took the ignition fuse out.

The car turned off but the key is still stuck.

No, the wheel wasn't stuck.

Linds drove it around trying to knock it out.

No, I don't have a key release button.

It's a 2006 POS Saturn.

A mechanic comes today to look at it.

Which is the major stress.

I don't want to know how much that's gonna cost.

Let alone how much it's gonna cost for parts and labor

just to fix it.

I was supposed to go to Marianne's this weekend.

It was much needed, but of course that doesn't look possible anymore.

I've reached my breaking point.

Weekend Re-Cap

Boyf got home about 7 Friday night.

He brought some shrimp home that he caught in Venice.

His dad boiled them up and we devoured them.

Best boiled shrimp I've ever tasted, sorry dad.

They all had a lovely time watching me freak out about a spider.

I'm not kidding, it was huge y'all.

Biggest one I've ever seen in my life

and yes, I know I say that every time but this one was a monster!

After Jarrod wouldn't, his dad finally went outside and killed it.

It was pretty entertaining.

He had to get up at 3am to go back to work

but I won't complain, at least I got to see him.

Saturday I got up early to get some groceries for the day.

I made fruit dip, banana pudding & Lauren's salsa/avocado dip.

It was all sooo yummy. & I have leftovers for the work week.

I took it all over to Heather's so we could spend the day in the sun.

Her hubbs made us some yummy shrimp.

Tyler & Aries was the afternoon's entertainment.

That night we went to Bayview to see Ampersand play.

Heather & I are in mad love w/this man. ha!

Sunday morning I woke up and decided I needed to see the beach.

It was time I found out how long of a drive it was...

Luckily, it takes the amount of time I'm used to.

I ended up in Pass Christian, Mississippi.

I had the beach to myself most of the time.

It was a wonderful day.

Next weekend I'm going to visit the Bestie.

Hopefully little Ryder will decide to make his appearance in this world!

decisions decisions

Living with the decisions you make can be so difficult.
One day you're exremely happy with them

and the next you regret them with every ounce of your being.

You think about the people you hurt with your decision.

And you think about the people you'll hurt if you change your mind.

When really all you should do is focus on your happiness.

You thought you knew what happiness was,

turns out you were wrong.

And when you can't make yourself happy

it's a very bad place to be.

tanning dilemma

Most of you know I'm a tanning addict.

It all started when I realized it cured my eczema.

Much easier than going to a doctor and dealing with pills & creams.

I used to be able to easily maintain my tan.

Not anymore.

& for the life of me I could not figure out why.

Then it dawned on me.

I'm using crap beds.

So, I started doing research.

I was using 160 & 180 watt beds in Alabama.

The bed I use most here is 100.

Hello answer to my problems.

I've called around everywhere trying to find better beds.

The standup at my salon is 160 but if you're an avid tanner,

you know you're not supposed to use the same bed all the time.

Major problem is I paid for my tanning upfront.

I'm paid til the end of July...

Which basically means I'm stuck until then.

Because I cannot waste any more money!

I've come to the realization that if I want my tan back I've got to get more serious.

I have to go every day.

I have to put on lotion before bed.

I have to use lotion before tanning.

& I may have to spend a few extra dollars every week to use higher pressure beds.

Let the journey begin!

Johnny Rockets

Last weekend we spotted a Johnny Rockets

across the street from the aquarium.

It's an oldies style diner.

I just adore it!

It was so good,

we ended up eating there twice!

They made ketchup faces.

& gave us nickels for the juke box.

I hope I can find one close to home.

I can't wait to eat there again...



Whale Sharks & Bon Jovi

Saturday Mom and I went to the Georgia Aquarium.

I was dieing to see the whale sharks.

It's the biggest aquarium in the world.

If you haven't been, go now!



That night was Bon Jovi!

My 4th Bon Jovi concert in 13 months.

They sang a few songs I hadn't seen them play.

It was amazing. As always.

Thursday night after work I headed to Enterprise.

Got to see the Bestie.

Meet Avie,

it took all I had not to take her home with me!

We meet Jenny for lunch on Friday.

It was a glorious reunion.

& yumo mexican food from Rodeo.

Marianne & I spent the rest of the day in Dothan.

Getting pedicures and shopping.

We ended the day at Miyori

& had some yummy sushi

before I started my 4 hour trip to Atlanta...

What's on my phone?!

I broke a glass at work.

I put cold tea in it,

put it back in the fridge.

& it busted straight in half.

Heather got me this cutie while she was at the beach.

It's hangin' from my rear view mirror.

Linds' boyf got us some crackle polish.

I swear to you it's better than OPI's.

Boyf took me to Brunet's Cajun Restaurant.

Broiled snapper, stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp,

broiled shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed oyster

 and yes a frog leg.

Jenny sent me this pic of a car in front of her.

Odviously, it made her thinkg of me.

So What Wednesay

So what if...

I spend $250 in gas to go see Bon Jovi.

In Atlanta. 9 hours away.

I still have Alabama tags on my car.

That expired in April.

I sleep 8+ hours a night.

I'm still tired.

ALL THE TIME!

I have a $2,000 treadmill.

That I don't use nearly enough.

I'm not as tan as I should be.

I can't find a tanning bed I like.

It's hard to explain how funny the boyf is.

But here's a funny story for you:

We were in Wal-Mart, he was pushing the buggy.

We all know how the person not pushing the buggy can shock the other person.

Well, I was shocking the crap out of him.

Not on purpose!

Just when I'd go to hold his hand, etc.

And he's a baby.

He likes to make me feel like I'm killing him.

He says, "You're definitely on your period. You're shooting fire at me!"

I realize that may not sound that funny to you but I warned him early on

that I can be "the demon bitch from hell"

and that has seemed to stick in his memory pretty well.

I almost peed myself in Wal-Mart.

He makes me so happy

with such ease.

Weekend Re-Cap

Had another amazing weekend!

Friday night we went to the Varsity Theatre.

The Chee Weez were playing & Jarrod said they were amazing.

He was right, they put on an awesome show!

We even got Kimmi to come out with us!

Saturday we were completely lazy until it was time for Jazz Fest.

Linds & Adam beat us there.

Bon Jovi was, of course, amazing!

That night we made the hour drive to Biloxi

& stayed in the cutest hotel on the beach.

 I was so in love with the orange room.

Spent Sunday morning & afternoon on the beach.

It was much needed. Nice & relaxing!
